One part of me thought that this was a great opportunity to get to know a new interesting person, but before that part had made its statement another part of me had already had time to raise a warning finger (as well as a dramatic voice): "Talking to this person may just add yet another person to the 'Slightly Uncomfortable To Run Into' list. Are you prepared to have another person which you don't know whether to say hello to in the corridor? Are you prepared to meet this person in the cafeteria and stay for a chat just to start wondering and worrying whether this person is talking to you for more than 30 seconds because she likes to or because she is being polite? ARE YOU PREPARED TO TAKE THIS RISK?"
